Aberdeen MS | BCBS quit in MS with compliant plans in 15. Went with Huma which quit in 16. Ambetter was the only compliant plan for 17.
For 18 BCBS had plans that were/are compliant, but no participation in the market share.
The 17 Ambetter plan was 775/mo with a 5K deductible for me at age 63. For 18 that premium went up to 1150/mo with a 7K ded. Only problem with Ambetter, $0 coverage out of network. If I would have had a medical emergency visiting MN, "sucks to be you", $0 coverage period. My BCBS policy for 18 is $999 with a 6K deduct and will authorize out of network emergency care.
For 19, premium only increased by $30/mo, thankfully.
