Easily at least the range you are asking about. Seems like more like 1500 meters or so when on highway.
Sena and Cardo both have many models.
My observation on bike forums is that may that post comments are not clear about which model they are making comments about.
Comments like 'my buddy has a Sena or my buddy has a Cardo, and it does....' -- are useless info without the model, since (especially older models) don't all have the same features and capabilities)
Ours are Cardo G9x.
Model has been replaced with newer.
There are lots of makes/models out there. If you want to do more than 2, most newer models will manage that as well -- even across brands.
Many also have built in am/fm radio.
Many will do intercom and connect to you cell phone for calls -- and to play your music library.
I'd expect forums discussing ski equipment and locations may have info regarding specific models that integrate best with ski helmets.
