Hate to harp on it, but please seatbelt them into the buddy seat. A local farmer had his 4 year old in his combine and when the combine lurched, the youngster fell against the front windshield which popped out and the kid fell out and under the drive wheel. It only takes a few seconds for the entire event to happen, far faster than you can react to grab the child.
