The sites that sell the rifle and S&W all show that, but what they don't tell you up front is that only active military and retired military (after 20 years) get the rebate. If you served any time it doesn't matter unless you fit in those parameters.
I consider it false advertising. You only find out after you get part way through the rebate process.
tough to get any recognition for being a vet. Kind of a 'what have you done for me lately ' type of deal. You may get a pleasant look if you are exceptionally lucky. better days are coming. On veterans day, free meal at Applebees.
