Subject: WW 2

Rochester Illinois

My uncle was shot down  Nov 20, 1944 flying a B-24 over Germany.  He was the only survivor and was in a German POW camp. Recently my cousin found a box of about 50 letters from that winter. Very interesting reading.  The War Department notifying my Grandmother  he was missing in action.  Then several weeks latter another letter stating he was a Prisoner. Lots of letters between my Grandmother and other women who had sons on this plane as they awaited word.
Be nice if these were in a library or museum some place for these.     Anyone have any suggestions.
