watched a documentary on a lotto winner ........ Said their life was hell, had to move twice to different parts of the US to try to get away from people due to multiple issues. Said people were harassing them all the time for money, had house broken into a few times, people would spread rumors about them.
I have heard that some farmers who sell out or retired have experienced similarly being hunted by desperate people.
