northeastern Ohio | I feel his pain. I've been there. My dad is currently in the same predicament. Feels ok to sit, but can't stand or lay down. I bought him an inversion table (craigslist) to try. It did not help him, but it works for me.
Doctor gave Dad some meds that helped for a few days (it "cured" him about 5 years ago when he had the same problem). Trying a different drug now and physical therapy. It's helping some. Doctor wants to give an epidermal but dad's insurance hasn't approved it yet. Dad is ready for surgery after suffering for the past month.
