Liberty, MO
Basically the US Govt helped move Pattonsburg from the old location in the river flood plain to the new location up on the hill. There is lots more about this that I don’t know about , but I can tell you if a heavy rain 6+ inches happened up stream a few miles north old Pattonsburg was flooded. The drainage area up north covers millions of acres, there are 3 different forks of the Grand River between Albany and Stanberry plus several other little streams draining into it also. Can’t forget the Thompson fork by Mt. Moriah, MO and another fork over by Princeton , MO all going to Chillicothe.
