E.Central MN | Seems like every time I came on this site for a while, one poster or another was bragging about how they found a store that had ammo in stock and they bought as much as they could. People weren't just buying an extra box here or there, many were buying cases at a time. So I don't know if ammo manufacturers found a better market outside the US for a while or if all the stock piling by hoarding individuals was responsible for the shortages. A couple guys I know couldn't find some ammo for their handguns and found some at a gun show, but the dealer wouldn't sell a few boxes, they had to take a case or two. So they each bought a case and after a while they decided to sell what they didn't want and made a tidy profit due to the ammo "shortage".
It would be interesting if some govt agency would investigate what role the ammo manufacturers had with this "shortage". | |
