Linneus Mo. | Looking at both Sept. and Oct. class 3 charts it looks like there is going to be some hope if this thing gets passed.
The original hit was back in 2010 or 09 when Obama get our first tariffs placed on Dairy. (yes dairy has had tariffs put on us under other administrations very recently.) Things settled down and we got the market back this round may have the same effect. It's really hurt but it may take us to new highs again.
Sept and Oct class 3 price is up 80 cents roughly since the 21st sept low of 15.60 today we closed at 16.41. October is about the same. with a close of 16.55 Contracts moved up 10 and 11 cents today.
IF this deal goes through and get congressional approval I could see us continuing to move higher.
Of course lower is still in the cards if it falls through.
What are the tea leaves saying to some of you dairy guys? No I'm not ready to contract anything just seeing some good news in the markets this morning. | |
