Was your second cutting a lot thinner stand than first. I knocked my first cutting down and had to rake it 3 times to get it to dry. I believe that’s why mine is so thin now, but I also cut about 10” high trying to keep air under windrow and hoping for faster regrowth. I wonder if my taller stubble pulled out with the rakeing leaving less plants.
