2nd cutting is usually higher quality. More stems means smaller steams plus more leaves.

Not sure on value, but there's probably some formula on dollars to RFV and then you just need to adjust to moisture of the bales. Heavy wrapped bales complicates shipping cost too i suppose?

If you're doing a sample anyway, be sure to pay the little bit extra and get nitrates tested too even if you don't think it'll be an issue.
