Best advice I got a little too late was to buy pairs. That way you've got your first paycheck on the ground already, and you're not stuck wondering why that cow didn't calve like the seller said she would. Like anything in farming, it's a high capital investment with darn little return. I'm just learning as well.... Good luck with what ever you choose!
