A rectangular half section takes only fifty percent more fence than a square quarter section.
At $15 an acre rent it takes 5 or 6 years to pay off a permanent fence around a square quarter.
It my area it is hard to find grass to rent even though when found it goes for only $15 an acre.
I suggest you rent it and supply a single strand barb wire electric fence material that they install and it stays there at the end of the lease.
Maybe if oil get's up to $100 a barrel we'll have another leasing boom that will pay for a permanent fence. | |
