Boone, love to do that trip. Where’s a good spot to take an 11 year old?
i just got back from a week long trip with Jackson lodge and outposts. Their airbase is about an hour NE of winnepeg. Google their name, and click on outposts. I've been to several of their camps. Echo lake has a cache of boats and they will fly you in and can set up tents. If you prefer a cabin, I really liked the Kathys lake Outpost. Very nice cabin, best spot for walleyes is 50 feet off the end of the dock! I was at the Harrop lake Outpost. Couple of the portage lakes were sensational. Going again later to Halleys camps at Minaki, Ontario. They have been in business since the forties. Trust me when I tell you both these outfits are top notch in every way. The Lowry lake trip I mentioned above was thru Pete Johnsons North Caribou outposts at Pickle Lake, Ontario. Shoot me an email if you like and I could give you more detailed info.
