Middle Tennessee | I agree that if you know their history you can make the decision after 14-30 days. The 14-30 days are in case they contacted something at the yards. In the south with the very warm and humid air and the fact that there are producers who don't vaccinate, we would give them the round of shots that we give ours and wait for the immunity to build. We bought bred heifers from a local guy who does a great job putting good local cattle together in February. They are still quarantined until the end of pinkeye season have not had to treat any. Overkill, probably, but we had a pasture that we could put them in and a spare bull.
