I have the same float u do. Had trouble keeping up to 90 head so I took that plastic insert out, took a washer and a small piece of 3/8 pipe and jb welded it to it. It kept up no problem then. I have a 1200 gal tank 3 foot off the ground with a 2" discharge hose necked down to a 4 'garden hose which supplies the float.
