Thanks for the advice. Would like to try feeding out a group, I feel that selling at 500 pounds I'm doing all the hard work and leaving some money on the table. I wondered about a basis contract, might be smart to lock in a favorable basis when I get wet calves in and then lock in a price at a later date.
