Way different idea but I've been a holder of NLY for something like 17 years - sometimes more sometimes less. They own mortgages and borrow money and live on the spread. It's amazing really what they have created for earnings doing it over all the years. And one of the worst case scenarios is if they liquidate you own a bunch of mainly federally guaranteed mortgages.
