What happens with a company like this if they fail? Venture capital buys their assets from their debt holders for pennies on the dollar? Shareholders get nothing I'm sure. Just like my GM shares. I guess I'm asking do pieces get sold one by one or does somebody take it all. Full disclosure: my employer rents land from FPI. It's obvious to me they overpay for land. But that's what we all say is that land is an investment and you can't make it cash flow in the short run. But it's great in the long run.
