Subject: Was it 2006?

Dawn, Missouri
My wife and I drove from North MO to northern Michigan for vacation around the 4th of July. We went through Springfield, Decatur, Champaign area. The corn looked 10 ft tall and the soybeans looked like they were chest high. Green as a gourd! Soybeans were cheap. I kept watching the weather and it just quit raining through the best areas in central, northern IL. The soybean prices stayed cheap until middle of August before they started up although the crop condition was dropping. Soybeans rallied until the next March. I think they were trading around 5.35. Went over $8.00 the next March. As I remember, Army worms were really hard on the crop, also. Was that 2006?
