There is no doubt that China are not a fair trading partner and that issue needs to be addressed. But is trump the right person to address it? From his business history, he is far from a successful businessman. Has Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, etc. ever gone bankrupt? Or gone bankrupt 5 times? And if you are going to start a trade war with China, why start a trade war with your allies, you need them to help curtail China ( hello TPP ). Example, America has a small trade surplus with Canada, Canada has a weighted tariff of .08% on imported goods, America has 1.6% average tariff on imported goods. But to hear Trump tell it, Canada are the same as China. He just does not understand trade, he is too simple to try to understand trade and has surrounded himself with yes men. As H.L. Menchen ( The Baltimore Sun ) said many years ago, " On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their hearts desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron".
