I have trend at 169 vs the usda 174. Calculating back to 1950, we have never had an above trend year when we averaged more than 2.2 degrees above average in the corn belt as a whole during the month of July.
The 15 day weather maps say we gonna average 4.5 degrees above normal for the 1st half across the cornbelt. If that comes to fruition we will have to average 2 degrees below normal the remainder of the month to yield above 169 according to history of the last 70 years.
I think corn is under priced and I'm a buyer down here as long as weather maps looks as they do now come Sunday night.
A 169 trend yield with demand unchanged and $5.00 would be fair value for corn.
So you are saying corn will be at $5 while soybeans are going to $6? WTF? |
