I’d assume they aren’t too worried about equalizing a trade surplus, just means their economy has product desired vs ours.
If I sell you a $50k pickup and you sell me a set of tires for $1k, are you under the belief I need to buy 50 sets of tires to keep it equal?
China is trying to avoid buying from us at all costs. Do you think it’s a 1 way street when trading? They are making no attempt to drop the trade deficit, yet they think we should just keep buying everything they produce. |
