NW Indiana | Just trying to throw a little JC optimism out there. I'm now the proud owner of all my 2018 crop again. Just got filled on beans at 9.20 for 80 cents in the bank and corn at 3.75 for an avg of .34 cents in the bank. At these levels with so much growing season ahead I see it as the risk is to the upside. So this guy that was labeled as a perma bear(for being bearish beans for 6 months) is now bullish. It wouldn't surprise me a bit to see a bit more downside but with last years low in beans on June 23 it wouldn't shock me a bit to see a low put in before the report. I'm not brave enough to try picking the bottom. Beans still scare me a bit if a big yield is looking likely but I see that as 6 weeks away before we even get an idea of weather during pod fill. It takes a yield over 180 before I would feel I can't get my 3.75 down the road awhile. | |
