Wasn’t the crop getting in behind until like the 3rd week of May? Dry in the east, wet and cold in the NW? I can’t remeber, but that’s what is coming to mind.
Over all it was about average. Behind in the norther tier, but the heart of the corn belt at May 15th planting and emergence was at or above average. Especially beans.
