| You remind me of the frog in that old proverb about the scorpion and frog. The one where the scorpion comes the river, wants to cross but can't swim. He tries to persuade a frog to carry him across on his back. The frog says, "no, you'll sting me and I'll die and you'll drown." The scorpion responds, "no, no, I promise not to sting you." So the frog relents, scorpion climbs on his back and the frog sets out across the river. Halfway across the river the scorpion stings the frog and as they both are about to drown the frog cries out, " why did you sting me when you promised not to?" As the scorpion drowns he answers, "because I'm a scorpion, it's my nature, I can do no other."
When someone shows you what they are, believe them.
