Yes. Read up on narcissistic personality disorder. The actions and behaviours of some people will start to make sense once you understand how their minds work. They think very differently than others. They have a strong sense of entitlement and believe they never do anything wrong. If it is ever proven that they did wrong they will blame others for making them act that way. They are never responsible and will try to blacklist their victims to escape being judged themselves. They often need to lie to maintain their image and their lies will change to suit whatever situation they face at the time which means their own lies can completely contradict one of their previous lies. It is a very destructive type of personality.
