SC MN | I would second Jason_WI's input. I have an 10" Zhumell dobsonion reflector. The dobsonion reflectors are more bang for you buck as far as what you can see, but they are not exactly cheap either. And you can easily spend more on eyepieces than the scope. I only have one nice Plossl eyepiece but it makes all the difference.
I enjoy it, although arguably the best time of year for viewing is the fall, when I'm very busy, or winter when you can't stand to be standing still for too long. | |
