Graymont Illinois | Had no idea what to have for supper. Looked in freezer and found a ribeye. I thought, can I throw this on the grill frozen? My grill is more like an oven than a direct flame. Calm winds got my grill pretty hot, 550 degrees F. Set timer for 15 minutes. Go to turn steak and it is still frozen in the middle. Turn steak and set timer to 15 minutes more. Ended up one of the best steaks I ever grilled. Surprised me.
Seems most people like to get beef to room temp. then cook fast on high heat. Brian |
