I'll be the odd man out, but I really like my skil-saw circular saw. It's probably 8 years old now but fairly modern I would say. I don't use it every day but it's works great and cuts great. Didn't cost an arm and a leg. I have nice dewalt brand thin blade with carbide tips. Just find a light decent well balanced saw and put a quality blade on it.
