Fountain County | Yes the witching wires work to dowse graves. Yes the wires will cross to indicate one sex and they will spread apart to indicate the other. I’m not 100% sure which way because I didn’t get to see it and haven’t done it but my brother built new fence on 1 side of the family cemetery that is in property that my dad bought years ago. Cemetery commission guy came out that day and dowsed graves. He went outside the original fence on 2 sides and found more graves. So they extended the fence to include the ones on the side they were fencing. He said it was common long ago that travelers that had members die en route to wherever would stop at the first family cemetery and ask if they could bury their dead there. The families that would allow it usually indicated a spot outside the fence for them. So the family was inside and everyone else outside.
Could also be the ‘outlaw’ family members outside the fence too... | |
