The Old Settlers Chapel & Memorial is located in an area called the Barrens. It is just West of Cushing and in straight sand & jack pines. That area is mainly state and county forest land and private deer shacks for hunting. Virtually no farming in most of that area.
It was built by a local individual and really quaint & a nice little memorial to the early settlers.
