Hate to bear bad news, but it sounds to me like either a broken ring or the rings have gotten soft from the heat. I haven't been into as many IH engines as the green kind, but from what I remember, the rings tend to turn into baling wire after they get that hot. Also, if the engine siezed, it could well have scored a piston. If it misses & slobbers when you start it cold, & smooths out after a while, that's low compression...it still could be an injector, but getting that hot makes bad things happen, as I'm sure you know. Hope for the best...
