Guys around here had a opportunity to plant corn and beans in the normal timeframe because we were cold and dry but with the cold soil temperature decided to push the planting back a tad. Corn is all up ok but a little behind which isn’t ideal if the hot and dry weather persists. Most beans aren’t up yet and may not have the moisture to make it up because they waited. We should be in the low 70’s for highs now and every day is upper 80’s to low 90’s. Chances of rain continue to fizzle out. Hopefully the rain chances coming up materialize. Pasture and hay field growth is below normal.
