I once had a similar reaction to lobster. Haven't touched it since. I'm fine with shrimp, crawfish, imitation crab meat, crab cakes, catfish, haddock, etc. Not only was my face swollen, but I also had an all-over rash. Doctor recommended Benadryl (sp?). Took about 3 days for it to work out of my system. I know what Elvis Presley meant when he sang, "Itching like a man on a fuzzy tree." Hope your husband feels better soon. There are worse things to suffer, but it's certainly painful for the duration.
