I hadn't really thought about it until being advised by a relative who is an IT guy.....what is the purpose of using RW's when they cost considerably more then CD-R's, which cost next-to-nothing and there is a danger of corruption when reusing them anyway?

I do recall that compatiblity with RW was an issue in audio equipment now that you already found the problem.
