Jon Hagen - 4/26/2018 17:53 Our first wire welder was a little 120V with 90 and 120 amp output Century brand welder.Flux core wire is much more expensive than solid wire, but is a good rig to have around for those special windy or 20 ft above ground jobs that the big welder cant do. Just wish that when we were using it with shielding gas / solid wire, we had discovered that the poor performance was due to us trying to burn larger wire than it was capable of doing.

Thanks for the feedback on the little wire welders Jon. I had seriously considered buying one but everybody talked me out of it saying it would be a big disappointment compared to a real mig welder. But I'm happy with this Lincoln so far and the flux core wire seems to be priced in the $20 to $30 dollar a spool range on amazon. I don't know how long a spool of wire lasts but guess I will be finding out.
