The room the stir take at the top of the bin is appox. one ring. We are told not to put corn on top of the stirrer. Thus we consider it a lost ring. Right or wrong I do not know. Just what I am told to do.

Maybe we have been blessed with dry falls and better drying corns, but a lot of corn goes into the bins at 17 or less. People dry it down to 15 or so without the stir systems just fine. Like I said the local dealer/bin person says he only has one farmer he still goes out and does service calls on for the stir system. He used to be very busy with calls during the fall time. All the others just took them out because of to may break downs.
