Scranton | Talked to blacksmith today...he said his suppliers told him prices started to jack when there was just a hint of future tariffs last fall. Then they supposedly went up, but now his prices are dropping back to where they were a couple months ago, except for flat iron and stuff made from flat like square tubing. He said he used to get it for say 50-60 cents per pound pretty much across the board. Now some 1" flat is 75 cents a pound and some other stuff is 44 cents per pound. No rhyme or reason. | |
