sc ia | First pic is a heifer in the calving barn last night. The other pics are a cow I found this morning. The cow is on the calendar due in a couple days from AI. I try to catch my cows in the lane and sort them into a small pen as they approach their due dates. They come up the lane for salt and water but as the pics show, they can find water in the creek. The calf could have easily fell in and drowned or died in the mud.
