WCWI | How much do you expect to make per head feeding from 6-700lb to fat? This is an honest question looking for an honest answer.
I am looking at building a barn for my bred cows and was planning on building it big enough for expansion in the heard and feeding out my own feeders, I then started thinking about buying more to feed out as well. I don't know much about feed lots and there's not many people in the area that feed cattle, so I'm just looking for some input. What you expect for gain per day? How many sq. ft. You like to see per head? How much profit you like to see per head? Have some other questions like feed rations as well. Will be awhile before I get the barn built, still going through ideas in my head and I'm on about the 5th drawing. Just trying to keep and open mind of ideas to help pay for the barn.
