East Central, IA | It will be tender and flavorful. Some of the best steaks I have ever eaten have been from some roping steers that were put in the feedlot and finished on corn. The first one we ever fed out was a roping steer that became a pet. We got tired of him shoving everything else around and opening gates with his horns so we put him on full feed for about 75 days. We just assumed he would be tough and rangy so we ground everything but the loin cuts. That was a mistake. We should have saved more meat cuts. He was awesome. | |
