northeastern Ohio | I have the original Gehl version that we bought 20 years ago as well as a brand new HS. The HS has more stiffeners on the side walls, an oiler system on the drive chains, hyd hose organizer, different lift cylinder on the rear, manure deflector on the discharge and a few other improvements.
The Gehl has been pretty good for us. My brother broke an axle when he dropped it into a tile blowout. Gehl had a kit to rebuild the axle and it has not been a problem since.
Cement truck tires hold up better than flotation tires.
One of the things I like about the Gehl is the discharge is on the right. I think the Knight has it on the left. The Knight is probably heavier built, but usually rust is what kills manure spreader usually. | |
