| Grhog - 10/23/2017 20:28 Guess it was not mandatory but I thought their was a time you had to comply with set aside quotas to be eligible for disaster payment or even to recieve a ccc loan or get deficiency payments. Later the term became " paying not to produce" which became unpopular.
Yes, in effect you were getting paid for your set-aside acres.
Nobody was willingly leaving ground idle without pay simply because they didn't feel like farming it.
