Southeast Colorado | If I could count on 20" of annual rainfall here I would probably plant continuous corn. We could easily be profitable. But the folks above me who talk about land costs have hit the nail on the head. The farmer will eventually bid most of the profit out anyway thereby equalizing us all back together. That doesn't mean that certain geographic areas aren't enjoying advantages along the way. | |
