NW, IN | I went to check on the girls that I turned out on the Sudax field. By the way, thank you to all who replied on my previous thread of Would you turn them out... They seemed to be doing just fine. We weaned on Sunday, or at least step one of weaning. We do the quiet wean system. Everyone was kinda paired up in the tall growth so I got a couple pics. The first is a cow I am trying to keep replacements from. This year she had a steer and has done nicely. She is a moderately framed cow based on the others and raises the biggest calf usually. The second is of one of my heifers this year. I think she has done a nice job with her calf also. I put her around 1100 if my guestimation is right. The third was the scenery on the way home. Beautiful night last night.
