We've actually been abnormally dry all summer here. Caught one inch and a half that helped a bit, and a few 3-4 tenths here and there, but we haven't seen any real good measurable rain in quite some time now. But we were so wet last year that we were drowning. (normally 15-18", last year 40-45", this year 8-10" so far) Still muck a foot down, but the top 6" is getting real dry. Seeing cracks in the ground like I haven't seen in quite some time. According to the university moisture probe, we're 75% saturated at 12", and almost 100% saturated at 30".
