South Central Iowa | Corn - Current Strike $3.50, Effective Strike $3.92, 42c tabled, with -50 basis $3.42
Soybeans - Current Strike $9.35 (aggregate), Effective Strike $9.76, 41c tabled, with -80 basis $8.96, will lift all and TP if we see the $9.20's again, otherwise I will gladly throw them away
Soybeans - Physical $9.36 aggregate cash, with $8.96 effective on puts, effective cash $9.13 on 70%.
Effective Break Evens all inputs, machinery and living with rent out opportunity cost of $175 is $3.21 and $8.02. That is with planned yields, looks like we could be 20 under on corn and at to 4 under on soybeans. USDA logic would say I am fine, lol! Ground like mine seems to be bringing in the $150-$200 range, down about $50 from a few years ago. 160/50 type ground.
