N FLA | Thanks guys. It's all good. This might be an all nighter on the turnpike and i75. I'm optimistic that I don't run put of gas. I still have 15 gallons in cans and about 175 miles to go.
The cities don't have gas. But turnpike service plazas are getting gas. So the gas line backs up both lanes for miles. I wonder if there are any estimates how many are evacuating. People i talked to were scared.
I live at the green dot. I'm sure I will have some trees or limbs on fences, but that's expected. Half my cattle are on well water, if power goes out long I will scramble something to water them. The other half are on a pasture with a river through it. (Think like the Niangua or Huzzah in MO).
When it floods I have to make sure they are on the upland side of it. Basically 25 acres floods to the fence, and 25 is upland.I can get them across it before it gets too deep. But need them to be smart enough to stay there. So we will see but I don't expect any problems.
I can't believe this thing is still supposed to be a hurricane when it gets to north Florida. That is a lot of ground to cover.
